Oh joyous day, kaloo kalay! It is officially awards season and we get to see lots and lots of pretty people in gorgeous (hopefully) dresses. Like this drop dead amazing Ralph Lauren dress that Taylor Swift wore to the 2013 People's Choice Awards last night.

Once again taking the prize as the best dressed of the night, Taylor Swift channeled all her break-up sadness into looking SPECTACULAR. Seriously. I can't fault one thing about this magnificent appearance. Even the sad, tired eyes are beautiful. Amazing.

Then there was Julianne Hough who showed us how to actually sparkle like a diamond in the night sky in this effortlessly pretty Tony Ward Couture dress and silver heels. Divine.

And super-sexy mama Naomi Watts who went backless in an Alexander McQueen sculptural number of complete beauty. These three were the totally easy choices. Perfection in dresses.

Then there were the more controversial picks. Like I LOVED this look from Ellen Pompeo. A beautifully simple white shirt dress (always love) belted with black leather. And an almost indiscernable  super slit up the front. It's by Lanvin. You can't really argue with that. Subtle but brilliant.

And then there was Lea Michele. you know I can't stand her. But look how cute she looked in this hot pink lace Elie Saab mini dress. The gurning and posing was limited. The legs were HOT. And she looked cute and age appropriate and fun — and not like she was trying SO HARD. Yes? You in?
