2013 SAG Awards Red Carpet: Best Dressed in Colour
Unlike the last few awards red carpets, the 2013 SAG Awards held last night had a smattering of colour. Those that did it best were led by the elder stateswoman of style, Sally Field. Despite Anne Hathaway implying that she was old and should hand over the mantle to someone like her at the Golden Globes, I believe that Sally did a wonderful job of looking youthful and elegant at both events. This purple gown is by J.Mendel and is completely beautiful.
Also looking very good was The Vampire Diaries star, Nina Dobrev who wore hot pink Elie Saab. The lace cut out detail were very well done and the entire silhouette suited her athletic figure. This was a good combination.
Then there was fire red Alexander McQueen as worn by Jessica Chastain. This could have been amazing and instead was a "just about". The problem lies in the fit. It is just too tight around the hips/belly. But the girl looked lovely in general. That smile can work wonders, and she managed to get away with it for this time. She had better have a GREAT dress at the Oscars because there have been too many missteps of late when it comes to red carpet. Get it together lady!
