2013 SAG Awards Red Carpet: Best Dressed in Navy
The overwhelming colour of the 2013 SAG Awards red carpet was navy. Remember I pointed it out as bubbling under at the Globes? And it is one of those colours that almost of itself, leads to a successful look. You really are stacking the odds in your favour when you choose navy. Jennifer Lawrence's couture Dior, hot off the runway last week, was simple and elegant and lent her a bit of support as she traversed the red carpet suffering from pneumonia, poor duck. Her people did a good job with hair and make up despite the health issues, and it worked. Not brilliantly. But just sufficiently.
Amanda Seyfried actually looked good in her Zac Posen navy flamenco gown. Her pale face was problematic for me, but aside from that, all good. Thankfully.
And Nicole Kidman was excellent in Vivienne Westwood. Navy and black lace. Sleek silhouette. Perfectly proportioned side slit. Good shoes. Nothing to fault here. Good. As you were. Carry on.
