2014 Grammy Awards Red Carpet: Best Dressed in Goth Glam
Look there is a part of me that is calling this trend Goth Glam because it appears to annoy 'lifelong Goths' who are apparently unaware of my own Goth years, my eternal love for all things Goth and the fact that I work in fashion and therefore call a trend like this 'Goth Glam' whilst being perfectly aware that it is not the same as being a Goth. It is a fashion term, dahlings, just a silly little fashion term. And on last night's red carpet of the 2014 Grammy Awards, it was back in full force. Especially on the gorgeous little creature that is Kelly Osbourne. She is wearing Badgley Mischka and there is a little bit of a cape detail happening there. And everyone who has ever been to a Goth club knows that the cape is the ultimate accessory.
Also gothing it up was Cyndi Lauper. How utterly sublime does she look in her Alexander McQueen cape and skinny trouser? And lashings of gold jewellery. Just enough crazy. Just enough fashion. Take those laces away from the trouser, and I would put this outfit on in a heartbeat.
And showing that Goth can be limited to the flick of a make up brush and still work, is Sarah Hyland in Emilio Pucci. I think that this may be the best she has ever looked. Perfection.
