I nearly choked on my Coco Pops last Friday when I saw these images. Images of Golden Globes double winner Lena Dunham — she who has only ever worn one dress that fitted and it was shit — wearing a Valentino jumpsuit. Amazing. And no of course it didn't fit properly. But it wasn't bad.

This may be my favourite look on her so far. I think it is cool and suits her figure mostly. Personally I would have altered the top so it wasn't strapless — just the addition of a couple of shoestring straps would have been helpful to the fit. But in general, she looks awesome. I am happy with this relative to all the other things Lena has worn.

Of course looking all kinds of stunning is her costar Allison Williams who is wearing Altuzarra and looks sleek and elegant and well fitted. But she is a very lovely skinny girl and that's too easy. I absolutely believe a good stylist can sort Lena's red carpet appearances out lickity split with the right approach and the lack of belief that everyone must look the same. But just allowing her to be her, in her own new-found space, style will come naturally and she won't need to be skinny to look good. Right?
