Every year I am lucky enough to be able to go and soak in the creativity and inspiration of the Design Indaba conference. It sets you up for the year and you emerge brimming over with ideas, energy and passion. It's just what I need right now as I am exhausted trying to set up two new businesses at once. I know, I'm an idiot. But, still, I am now taking three days out to enjoy this once-a-year experience.
Of course the conference is followed by the Design Indaba EXPO — and everyone can go to that. It is the place where fashion as a design medium really comes alive. And this year there are TWENTY different South African designers showing their new lines, including some of my favourites Thula Sindi, August, Doreen Southwood, MaXhosa, Take Care and Mr and Mrs. They will all show once over the three days of the EXPO (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and will have a retail space at the CTFC stand so you can go and buy their goodies too. Don't miss out if you are in the Cape Town area this weekend. It's going to be fashion to the max.
