ESSENCE Magazine hosted their annual Black Women in Hollywood lunch yesterday. And of course our girl Lupita Nyong'o looked sensational. She wore a cream Giambattista Valli two piece — crop top and skirt, which set off against her skin beautifully. I love this length on her, as I think it actually flatters her shape. But I have to say that I hope this is the tail end of the crop top trend that I am now totally bored of. Please.

Also looking good at the event were Kerry Washington, in Calvin Klein maternity blue. I like this. It's is easy and striking at the same time and works beautifully for her, whilst being totally comfortable. Naomie Harris was in cream lace Wes Gordon — with cut outs obviously, although at least these are in the leg and not so low on the sternum that we can see her bones. And then here was Zimbabwean actress Danai Gurira, who was absolutely stunning — and my absolute favourite — in Reem Acra bold red resort wear. STUNNING.
