Anne Hathaway In Prada for Paris Premier
I have to be honest, I am weary of posting about Anne Hathaway. This is not about her smugness, it's just plain old over-exposure. As you all know — and either agree or disagree with — I am a Hathahater. Just because of the smugness, you know. But I know that this isn't everyone's opinion, and I don't just post things that I like on this blog, I do sometimes post things that I know you will like. Or like to discuss. As is the case here. It was the Paris premier of Les Miserables last night. Anne chose hot pink Prada for the occasion. And she actually looks pretty enough. I just hate the dress. The satin looks, um, cheap? Is that even possible with Prada? It's just so garish. Hot pink is a brilliant colour. Just not in satin, I feel. And the fit. Well it doesn't really, does it? That weird puckering at the hip, where the dart starts. The strange bust. This is not great. Then again, after the 763 public appearances she has made in the past three months, with the BAFTAs and OSCARs to come, I guess anyone would run out of good dresses, wouldn't they?
But her mate Eddie Redmayne could teach her a thing or two about fit. This suit fits like a glove. And he has worn it before, from his own cupboard. I like this guy.
