You always know when a fashion house gets involved with an actor's party, that the outfits will be good. And so it was at the 2014 BAFTA Nominees Party held on the weekend in London. Chanel, no less, was the sponsor of the party. And Lupita Nyong'o was good enough to wear Chanel Couture for the affair.

Doesn't she look wonderful? All dressed up in her pink dress and cute little jacket, I love when Chanel goes all young and hip. I also like the silver shoes in this instance, I think that they work perfectly with the outfit. Well played.

Amy Adams was also in attendance. She wore a flimsy slip of a cream beaded Zuhair Murad dress for the party.

She arrived bundled up far better against the cold, in a delicious Max Mara short coat that I think would be an asset to any wardrobe.

It goes without saying that Dame Helen Mirren looked fabulous. She wore her bejewelled Burberry coat with swagger. Just brilliant at sixty-something.
