I have had my eye on The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev for a while now. She seems to do a solid job on the red carpet, has been dating her delectable co-star Ian Somerhalder for a few years now, and is really very pretty. What holds me back is her propensity to to the "face the side and twist" pose on every single red carpet EVER. And I can't quite work out why. Sure her shoulders are broad — but not anymore than say Stacy Keibler or Princess Charlene — and you don't see them doing that. It bothers me, I'll be honest. Stop it.

But look at the sensational gown she wore to the Oscars party. It's by Naeem Khan and is in on-trend black and white. Wow. And that cute little shorts outfit she wore to the Independent Spirit Awards on Friday night was a triumph in glamourous dress-down. Spangle and a gold metal belt, and the whole thing in totally up to date. Wonderful showing this weekend, lady. Now let's just chill out on the posing, shall we? Good.
