So Rihanna was in London this weekend to launch her new high street collection for River Island. I say that like it is a normal thing. It isn't. She is a singer, not a fashion designer. She has as many style misses as she does hits. She is NOT the hall mark for style, although she does have an interesting take on street style, and the occasional red carpet dazzler, so I will give her that.

So the less said the better about the actual collection for River Island. But Rihanna herself did look super-good on a couple of occasions whilst out and about in the city. Like in the tangerine silk Grecian-inspired dress. That she had to cover with her coat in the cold, but gave us just enough of a glimpse to know it was fabulous.

And her own dress at the launch of the collection was sweet. She looked super. She likes a very minimal ankle-strap stiletto, it is clear. Apparently she told the audience that came to the show that she especially likes her trousers copped enough to show the ankle strap off. Interesting. But not enough to make me forgive the collection. Stop it.
