I get asked relatively often for comment on journalists stories about fashion. Mostly the internationals ask me to comment specifically on the South African perspective. And I am happy to do so, and all is well with the world. This story for the UK Guardian newspaper about a new SA venture of Socks By Subscription didn't appear any different, so I went ahead and gave my comment. Which included a hope that it was successful and some support for my countryman. Of course all they printed was the witty soundbite that I supplied about it being this year's 'Wine of the Month Club'. Which it is of course, but that doesn't mean I was totally unhelpful. So luckily I have my blog, to provide a bit of backup. I encourage you to read all about this local entrepreneur  Support him if you can — if it is your thing.
