Blake Lively supported her designer friend Derek Lam at his new label launch this week. She wore one of the signature tunic tops from the collection, and a pair of little black shorts. Of course there was much speculation about the length of the 'dress' but those ninnies didn't realise that it was a shorts and top combo. In great colours that really suit Blake, of course. Seriously, could her legs be any more perfect?

Earlier this week, Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds popped into a children's hospital ward in Ontario, in Ryan's native Canada where they are currently living. They chatted and interacted with the sick kids and their families, and happily had their photos taken with any number of them.

I always like it when celebs do this kind of thing. They don't have to, it's just being decent and using their power for good. And Blake and Ryan are a couple I would have loved to have seen when I was lying about in hospital a couple of years ago. Even though I am not a children. Whatevs.
