One of my favourite places to shop in the UK is obviously Marks and Spencer. Duh. And they have worked hard over the past few years to place women of all ages with substance, intelligence, achievement and beauty in the centre of their campaigns. This time around the campaign features actress Emma Thompson (and you know how we love her), Cape Town resident Annie Lennox, signer Rita Ora, African supermodel Alek Wek, fashion maven Lulu Kennedy, Baroness Doreen Lawrence of Clarendon OBE (aka Stephen Lawrence's mum and campaigner for human rights) and TV chef Rachel Khoo.

The Leading Ladies campaign was once again shot by Annie Leibowitz and the locations really captured the wonderful English countryside perfectly.

All seven ladies appeared in three of the four ads, with only five sticking around for the last one. Annie and Emma must have had things to do. They wear a selection of garments across the set ups, from the ranges like Per Una, M&S Collection, Limited Edition, and the Autograph range. Very nice indeed.
