Pippa Middleton's Race Day Style
So the Daily Mail helpfully provided us with an image detailing the entire look that Pippa Middleton wore to the Cheltenham races this week. And there are several things to note. Ms Middleton appears to be splashing the cash — designer sunglasses by Givenchy, handbag by Kate Spade and a nearly R7000 pair of boots, not to mention the cossack fur hat. That can run up the tab considerably.
But actually the most significant thing to note is that the bold yellow coat — all R11000 of it — was not purchased in the Katherine Hooker shop. In fact it was not purchased at all, as it is not yet available. In other words it was almost certainly gifted to P-Middy by the designer. Which makes me think most of her Kate Spade stuff probably is too as Pipps has rather too much of that label in her wardrobe to make sense. Interesting. Tacky, but interesting.
But for me, the whole thing is a bit tawdry for quite another reason. I simply hate the coat. It is made from yellow melton, that looks all kinds of cheap to me. It's not some lovely wool coat that will last for years, it is a fashion item — but one that costs a fortune. Sis. I don't like this whole business at all. I have just gone off Pippa in a rather big way. What do you guys think?
