This week the grand Spiderman 2 juggernaut of promotion rolled into New York City and Emma Stone's outfits shifted a bit. Less of the granny-chic I love so much. And more of the cute 60s-inspired sassy modern stuff. Of course her moment of triumph was the ethereal Prada she wore to the New York premier. Just beautiful.

Emma also chopped her hair. Well both her and her man, Spidey, did. But Emma's bangs were great. They went really well with the awesome red Valentino she wore as well as the gorgeous blue Max Mara coat and Christian Dior dress — both for TV appearances.

The striking floral Brock Collection coat was another stand out. I particularly liked how it allowed the leather collar of the Gucci dress to lend the otherwise quite matronly coat, some edge. It works brilliantly. Clever girl.

But her casual looks also worked particularly well for me. The shoes were Valentino (heels) and Chloe (flats). The style was casual but chic. It felt more natural to her than some of the dressier things. I love that. It lets her total delight of a personality out. Nice.
