Once again the Cannes 2012 red carpet was set alight by one of this year's judges, Diane Kruger, yesterday. Dressed in a white lace and feather Nina Ricci gown, and accompanied as always by my husband Pacey Witter (aka Joshua Jackson, but don't mind that), Diane looked incredibly beautiful for yet another day of the film festival.

So far this year has been a bit quiet in terms of uncovering new trends and new style superstars. Certainly Diane has done her best, but she can't do it alone. I was taken with a French actress over the last couple of days called, Anne Consigny. She has been around in France for quite some time, but in wearing these two  dresses from Alexis Mabille Couture, she rather grabbed my attention. Pretty and very 'now', I think that these are two of the nicest dresses at the film festival.

I say so far, of course. There are still several films to go and people like Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron have just arrived, so the best may yet still be to come. In the mean while, enjoy this black slick of a sequined number by Roberto Cavalli, as worn by Karolina Kurkova. Boy does she know how to rock a sequin sheath. Props. Oh, and PS, I love that dark lip. Love it. Goths ahoy!
