I am having a bit of a field day with the best dressed on the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards red carpet from last night. It's a bit like a mini Met Ball. Amazing. It has grown so much! Anyway. There were some beautiful get ups. None so beautiful in my opinion than the Lela Rose worn by actress Mandy Moore. Utterly sublime and elegant. And that pink lip...I die!

Also right up there in the beautiful stakes is onse Candice Swanepoel, who attended as the guest of the rather dishy shoe genius Brian Atwood.

One of the big surprises for me was how stunning Sophia Bush looked in David Meister. Tangerine definitely being the big success colour in fashion right now. And her hair and make-up were perfect.

Also in a shade of burnt orange was Julianne Hough in Kaufmanfranco, who has somewhat redeemed herself from that midriff-baring monstrosity she wore on the weekend to the MTV Awards.

The Olsen twins won the award for Best Women's Wear for The Row. I much preferred Ashley Olsen's brand of total cover up to a newly brunette Mary Kate Olsen. MK went for a rather dreary oversized vibe, while Ashley's was much more fun. And she smiles. And wears bikinis. It's a total win for A.

Other ladies who brought it in black were Zoe Saldana, Doutzen Kroes and Padma Lakshmi who all looked very elegant and lovely.

In colour, we had the turquoise vision on Erin Heatherton. This is incredible! We had Joan Smalls in white Michael Kors. And we had the divine Solange Knowles in the cutest of all outfits, in J.Crew. It must be said that the combo of Solange and Jenna Lyons was the coolest couple on the carpet. They had fashion edge like no one else. I love this most of all. How about you?
