So it was the 2012 MTV Movie Awards last night in LA. This is always a fun red carpet. Less about gowns and more about some cute fashion. And we know we can rely on the glorious Charlize Theron to look a hundred ways of gorgeous. This time in red strapless Lanvin with a cute peplum detail. Just sensational. In a similar silhouette but in black and white Martin Grant was the always adorable Emma Stone. Loving the pink lip. And then there was Nikki Reed in shimmering gold Randi Rahm. I LOVE that it is not short. It is a perfect length. And it is fitted rather than tight — lending it elegance and timeless beauty. J'dore. And finally — and probably a bit controversially — there was Elizabeth Banks in an Elie Saab jumpsuit of gloriousness. I think that this is kicking. It looks amazing on her. I will hear no argument on this.

And then there were some girls who just didn't win this one. After a slew of awesome gowns, Kristen Stewart just looked like a hot mess in that Guishem dress. Julianna Hough was just in a midriff-baring mistake that we had best forget quite quickly. Jessica Biel was all kinds of frock horror. What is that? I know it is Chanel but that doesn't help. What are the ankle restraints for?? Are they weights? Is she exercising while at the event? Bloody hell. And then there was Leighton Meester. Sigh. I don't know. I don't actually care. Yuck.
