Katy Perry in Tadashi Shoji and Celine to Promote Smurfs 2

I think we have all come around to an acceptance that Katy Perry has got her fashion on. And that she has managed to do it somehow, whilst retaining her cartoon-like personal style elements. It is genius really. She still looks like herself — sometimes pushing things just a smidge too far — and somehow makes it work. Beautifully.
Katy was on the red/blue carpet this weekend promoting her new movie, Smurfs 2, in which she voices  Smurfette, the lead lady Smurf. And she was wearing a lovely lace and leather dress. In blue of course. The dress was by Tadashi Shoji. You know that awesome designer that always makes Octavia Spencer look a million dollars. Well, now he has done his work for Katy too.
Katy took along her adorable gran, Ann, who wore a t-shirt that said, "I've got the hots for Papa Smurf." No news on who designed that one, but I love that she brought the crazy along for Katy. And check out that bedazzled cane! Love.
Also at the premier was a surprise guest, Britney Spears, who co-wrote a track on the Smurfs 2 soundtrack. She was in her usual Herve Leger bandage dress — also in blue for the occasion.
Earlier in the weekend, Katy appeared on Leno to promote the movie and looked really good in this leather tunic dress by Celine. In blue naturally... She is such a doll. Love this chick.
