It is a timeless classic, right? A red dress for a gala evening. And yet, possibly even more fun for cocktail wear. All the drama but none of the formality. And this past couple of weeks, three young film stars have done it perfectly. Katy Perry did it first in this magnificent Dolce & Gabbana velvet dress for her 3D premier. I am not sure she has ever looked so lovely. Then Clemence Poesy did it in Valentino for the couture show in Paris. Finally Gabrielle Union did it at the Porche event this week, with pockets and a neckpiece. And I was sold. I must find a stunning red dress for the functions I need to attend. Any suggestions?
