Yesterday the annual Forbes list of highest earning models was published for 2013. Topping the list by a country mile was Giselle Bundchen earning over $30million more than the next girl on the list, Miranda Kerr. Miranda was followed by Adriana Lima, the highest paid current Victoria Secret Angel. And Kate Moss slipped down to fourth place as she enjoyed a year of marriage and holidays.

Liu Wen capitalised on the lucrative Chinese market to bring her earnings up to fifth place, followed by Americans Hilary Rhoda and Caroline Murphy. Rounding out the top eight was the gorgeous Joan Smalls, the only black girl on the list.

Our very own South African Candice Swanepoel climbed a spot to ninth place in her third year on the list of top ten earners. She increased her earnings by $200,000 last year and has diversified her modelling portfolio in that time. Rounding out the top ten was Lara Stone who is currently still on maternity leave, following the birth of her baby with husband David Walliams.
