So the annual global Fashion Night Out is happening in a few weeks — 6th September to be precise. And everyone who is anyone is involved. By which of course I mean everyone except anyone here in South Africa where we have yet to participate in the whole thing. I mean even Justin Bieber is all up in the biz of it all. Or so we are to believe from this brilliant and saccharine and hilarious public service video promoting it all. And it qualifies as a PSA because 40% of all the proceeds of the sale of the Fashion Night Out (FNO) collection will go toward supporting the New York AIDS Fund.
Standout performances for me are obviously Victoria Beckham looking bloody brilliant. Also Olivia Wilde (funny!) and Julie Bowen (super funny!). Also Darren Criss from Glee is a doll. And Taylor Swift is all in there. And Karlie Kloss. Coco Rocha. A very large basketball player. Marc Jacobs. And Usher. Yes, Usher. Now watch and enjoy. Maybe next year I will sort something out to get Cape Town in on this action. What do you think? Shall we do it?
