Keira Knightly Covers UK Harpers Bazaar, September 2012
I popped into Exclusive Books last night after the Zara Cape Town opening. Obviously I went to check out which magazines had landed. Brand new on the shelf, via air freight, was the brand new September issues of UK Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. And blow me down with a feather if it wasn't the Harpers cover that I loved the most.
Featuring the annoying, yet very stylish, Keira Knightly, the cover is wonderfully neo-goth in all its glory. I love a deep blood red lip, I really do.
Drawing from the goth couture designs of Lanvin, Valentino, Chanel, Antonio Berardi and YSL Harpers has given us a delicious feast of dark high fashion.
Shot by photographer Ellen von Unworth and styled by Cathy Kasterine this is a very seductive 'Lady of the Manor' story that even I find very beautiful. But it does beg the question — why is every single shot have her face in left profile? How perplexing.
