We all know that red is a sure-fire winner for a cocktail party. But many of us are afraid to introduce it into our summer wardrobe in any other form than stripes or a cardigan. So when this week alone, four stars wore red I thought we could pick up some tips from them.

In the bright sunshine of the LA summer, Ginnifer Goodwin was magnificent in a crisp white blouse, a red full-flare skirt and a pair of lips loafers. Amazing. I LOVE THIS LOOK. But to be fair, I would probably look better in this bright red tea dress that Christina Hendricks wore that same day. Amazing.

Julianne Hough was the absolute winner for me in her Jenny Packham slim-leg red trousers with a feminine appliqué blouse that she wore this week.

And Minka Kelly is classically beautiful in this bold red Dolce and Gabbana dress she wore for a movie premier earlier this week. Which was your favourite? Would you wear red this summer?
