Yesterday Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, got all gussied up to present medals at the 2012 London Paralympic Games. Luckily — or strategically — she presented when a member of the British Olympic team won gold, and so she got to sing God Save the Queen and be doubly patriotic. So far so exciting and cool.

Sadly her outfit was a little bit of a let down. With her habitual navy blue Smythe blazer and a pencil skirt — worn with an Olympic silk scarf and those bloody wedges that I hate — she landed up looking more like an air hostess than a princess.

I much prefer it when she wears her skinny jeans and trainers as she did earlier in the day. She looks much more like a modern princess to me here. Maybe I'm wrong. What do you guys think??
