Imagine my surprise this morning when, paging through my usual international feeds and information sources on the internets, I came across this shoot. 'I know that name,' I said to myself as I read Joel Janse van Vuuren. So I took a look. And this beautiful underwater shoot was lying there before me.

Shot by specialist underwater photographer, Ilse Moore, Joel's signature tie-dyed silks dance in the water and add to the magical illusion the setting creates. Two aspects working perfectly together.

This is the look book imagery of Joel's 2012 Spring Summer collection, entitled The Spirit of Galatea, which we hope to see available soon. I will let you know where when I find out.

The model, and also creative director of the shoot, is Elsa Bleda and the makeup is by Liezl Zene Oberholzer. Beautiful. Congratulations to our local team.

UPDATE: Joel emailed me yesterday regarding his stockists, saying, "At the moment I'm stocking Egality in Parkhurst, the summer collection is being released in late Oct. I've also been talking to Michelle from Bromwell Boutique in Capetown and I am quite keen to start stocking there soon hopefully." Thanks for letting us know Joel and all the best for a super-successful season.
