Who ever thought that blue-gingham-prairie was a great idea in taffeta, eh Prada? This is bad, so very bad. Especially since it was worn to mark the premier of season three of Scandal. (Known as The Fixer here in SA.) Oh dear.

And even in the raft of outfits she wore yesterday on the promo tour, there were some hits, but more misses. The tweed Michael Kors with the little leather detail was a definite hit. Especially with those leopard Louboutins. I also mostly liked the red Max Mara shift, with another pair of good Loubs. I though that the gold pendant was a bit dated. The pale embellished Tory Burch was a bit off proportion-wise, if pretty, and that black and white Brood dress was not great at all. Although I did like the yellow Jimmy Choos. You can't win them all, but that is what we have come to expect from Ms Washington, so this week has been a bit of a let down. Never mind, we have the TV show and the wardrobe of Olivia Pope to cheer us. Damn, that's good.
