Her Serene Highness, Princess Charlene of Monaco and South Africa, flew into New York early yesterday. She was there with her husband, HSH Prince Albert, to attend the 2012 Princess Grace Awards that supports creative artists at the start of their careers. When the Princess arrived she was wearing a bold berry shade of knit dress (which looked incredible on her athletic frame) paired with a rather strange bolero jacket and looking a bit tired.

No matter, she sharpened up lickity-split and by the time the awards dragged around, she was looking her usual immaculate self, elegant and beautiful in white. The dress was in her favourite halter neck style, with gold trims.

Perfectly simple accessorising was beautifully measured and dealt with finesse. And I loved the side swept and slicked down hair. One can just go ahead and assume that this dress is by Akris since it has all the hallmarks of Charlene's brief about it. There. Done. Nice.
