In the past year I have not been particularly impressed with Rihanna's style. The gratuitous boob and crotch flashing. The wearing of a bra in public. The frontless, backless and split to the hooha red carpet dresses. And then she cut her hair. And suddenly, mysteriously, it was all ok with me.

Her dresses got classier. No more triple threat of exposure. She started playing with classic fashion pieces — not just ripped fishnets and hotpants. And she threw some Chanel at the whole thing. Bam.

Of course there are still some mistakes — ahem, over the knee boots — and this is going to happen. But with the flawless make up, that AMAZING lip colour, and the haircut, everything is already better. As long as we can't see her lady-bits.

And as her style improves, my attitude does too. Suddenly the cropped American football top looks super cool with her skinny jeans. In fact it looks better than it did in the look book paired with a gold skirt. So I may start to trust that RiRi is making better decisions. Except that then she goes and gets off with Chris Brown, lady beater. Sigh. What do you guys think?
