Whilst one Girl is a fashion disaster, another Girl star is going from strength to strength in the style department. In the past week Allison Williams has worn two sensational looks that both leverage off perfect hair and make-up, coupled with classically designed looks. I particularly love this black fifties skirt with white blouse. It's a classic ensemble, but the timelessness is energised by the crop of the sleeve and the sheer panels in the skirt. Well done to designer Misha Nonoo.

Earlier in the week, Allison wore a Carolina Herrera gown. Now, as far as I am concerned, there has been nothing that CH can do wrong in the last couple of seasons. But her elegant, print-oriented creations do need a confident wearer to work effectively. And Allison has just got there with her confidence. A style-trier for the past year, she is now moving into a more authentic phase where things work so much better as they feel like real personal choices. Nice. Looking forward to what's next.
