Arcade: A Three Minute Film for Kirsten Goss
Look. It's Thanksgiving in the US today. There are no celebs out in cool outfits because they are home with their families. And I am tired. And have a hundred functions on this season. So I am going to let you watch this incredible little steampunk-esque fashion video in support of Kirsten Goss's new jewellery collection, entitled Arcade. And paste some bits from the press release below. Now sit there nice and quiet and let mummy rest.
"The latest Kirsten Goss collection is best described as darkly romantic with an edge of subversive drama. Fusing the flamboyance and audacity of 20s Gatsby with a dash of punk for good measure, the bold new Arcade range features asymmetric earrings, striking cuffs and a brass geometric necklace. The dazzling Arcade range mixes clean modern lines with the opulence of the 1920s. Earrings are a key feature, and glossy semi-precious studs drop into striking geometric shapes, while old-fashioned brass rubs shoulders with flouncy pastel stones. Delicate sterling silver vermeil mixes with kitsch metallics to form classic silhouettes, all with a splash of irreverence. Within the pieces, amethyst is the only “traditional” stone to feature. Otherwise, this season’s colour palette brings to life subtler spring hues including yellow opal, green quartz and rose agate mixed with a dash of black spinal chrysoprase."
Video by Chrysalis Pictures right here in Cape Town, directed by Clive Will, produced by Earl Redcliffe and Dale Townsend. DP is Dean Slotar and Art Director Simon Mccloghlin.
