I hate this. Not the outfit, you understand. That Rihanna (helped by her male stylist Mel Ottenberg) has done something brave and cool and arresting with fashion that I really, really like. It annoys me that it is not all shock and sex. Sometimes it really is about fashion. What Rihanna wore to turn on the Westfield Stratford Christmas lights in London last night was a striped vest tunic and skinny trousers by Acne men's line SS13. And a blue oversized blazer by Raf Simons' men's line for Fall 2012. Brilliant.

Pairing it with a white collared shirt and a pair of heels, slicking on a bright bold red lip, and THOSE nails, renders a men's outfit totally and utterly and perfectly brilliant for a woman. Not any woman. Rihanna. When everyone carries on about Lady Gaga's 'controversial' fashion, I am left cold. But this is inspired styling. This is how to be creative with real fashion. SO CLEVER. I die.
