StyleGuideCT Look Du Jour: 28th November 2012So this is a new element I am trying out for the blog. Let me know if you like it. I am putting together a look that I have prepared for each day. It will give you an idea of how I dress, what I think works for me and my highly un-fashion body, and where you can pick up similar — often the actual — same things. This is less about me, however, and more about showcasing some amazing goodies and designers that you may also like. So today it is hot. But I have a bunch of things to get done — not least of which is auditing a leading politician's wardrobe. This is grubby and manual work, so I want to be both comfortable and practical. My Levi's demi curve jeans are the most comfortable of all jeans. I like them skinny, which if you buy a size up don't look too bad on someone like me. My new Henry Holland for Mr Price tee is cool, fashionable and funny. Everything I look for in a t-shirt, frankly. And R10 from each one I purchased does to the Red Cape Foundation. Double win. I am trying out these silver glitter high tops from Sissy Boy. I like the spangle. I love that they have a zip so you don't need to do laces. And I ADORE the flatform heel. But I am not sure how they are going to function on a day like today, so I will ensure I have a pair of flip flops in my bag. And finally I popped on the ring I always wear — I call it my fashion police ring — it is an old police uniform button repurposed into a quirky ring by local jewellery designer Oh Dear Megan. What do you guys think? Let me know.
