Keira Knightley Wears African Designer Duro Olowu
Nigerian-born, London-based fashion designer Duro Olowu is already a favourite of US First Lady, Michelle Obama. She has worn several of the key pieces over the past few years. Striking for the use of plenty of print (duh), Duro Olowu has been steadily growing a following from here — and now Keira Knightly gives this designer a whirl on her TV appearance on Monday night.
Keira is prone to getting stuck on a designer — Valentino anyone? And she tends to the classic. Between Valentino, Chanel and Gucci we have covered almost all her major public appearances. So it is not only exciting to see her in something fresh and new, but it is also super-cool to see her supporting a designer so under-the-radar. And African.
And doesn't she look awesome? So, so, so much less uptight. That's what a detour to Africa will do for you, of course... (Don't look at me like that Keira. You know it's true.)
PS: The shoes are a rather spectacular pair of Bottega Veneta platforms.
