The beautiful Marion Cotillard has been wearing relentless Dior of late, with one detour into McQueen. Now she takes another break and wears arguable the most talented of all African designers to ever have lived, Azzedine Alaia. No I haven’t gone mad. Yes, Alaia is based in Paris – but he was born and educated in Tunisia, North Africa. And started designing, inspired by his very glamorous late sister. Which I don’t think we should ever forget. Great things do come from this dark continent.

Anyway, Marion looks great — cute, sassy and more modern than she usually does in Dior. Which is not to say that she has totally forsaken her favourite fashion house. On leaving the event, Marion popped on her coat and scarf and grabbed her divine fuchsia quilted bag by Miss Dior. The very same one that she has been the face of for the past few years. Lovely.
