As it has now become acceptable — thanks to Kate Middleton and this lady, Michelle Obama — the gorgeous white and silver jacket and skirt that the First Lady of the United States wore to the Christmas function in Washington this weekend, is a repeat wear. This J.Mendel outfit was first worn to the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games back in July 2012. Frankly I think it is better suited to Christmas. I love it. And it is looks great.

Look, maybe some of the reason why Mrs O wore it again is that it cost a fortune, and there was a bit of an outcry the last time she wore it due to its hefty price tag. So good. Then I guess we can expect to see it a few more times to get good value. Thankfully it is a style-win so it can bear the re-wears. And that jacket would look all kinds of amazing with a pair of white jeans too.
