First there was KISUA, a local operation selling to the UK and US. There are designer collaborations from across the continent, all under the watchful creative eye of some South African fashion stalwarts. The design work is incredible, with the perfect balance of African aesthetic and modern design. I am completely sold.
Then there is a newer operation — called Dubaruba — again showcasing African products and designers to the world. This time it is curated rather than designed centrally. Local designers Pichulik and Smith Jewellery are both represented on the site, and we wish them all the success in the world. Go African fashion!
