Royal aunt-to-be, Pippa Middleton, must be a happy girl right now. There is nothing so wonderful than becoming an aunt for the first time. All the adoration and spoiling of a gorgeous new baby — with none of the nappy changing. Best role of my life. But there are lots of other changes right now in P-Middy's life. Her book has been a bit of a disaster. Her sister is preggers. She is dating quite a bit. And now she has a new designer in her life. The last week of November saw Pipps wearing Sandro in three separate pieces. That cute blue fluffy jacket, the belted black dress and the green tweed jacket are all from Sandro. And look rather good on her.
It's just that Pipps has a rather nasty habit of wearing beige suede footwear over black tights. I just can't bear it. Is there anything more common looking that this? Surely she knows better? That whole gold high-waisted skirt look is a frock-horror of gargantuan proportions. This may be her worst — and most old-lady — look ever.

Thankfully Pippa has her gorgeous go-to red coat from Kate Spade to redeem her as she recovers from this disaster. Fresh, modern, chic and a great colour — she can get away with almost anything when she wears this coat. Nice one Pipps.
