2014 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet: Best Dressed in Black
So I know that this category is going to be a little contentious. I mean it shouldn't be. Black dress on red carpet is a classic combination. But I am going to put French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos on this list — and that may confuse some of you. She's only 20 years old. She is taking some risks here in Louis Vuitton at the 2014 Critics Choice Awards last night. I think that's awesome. And as far as I am concerned, for the most part, I think that she pulls it off. I do not love the cycling shorts underneath the incredible dress. I think a mini slip would have been better. Or even hot pants. Lining would have been best of all. But the dress looks great. She actually looks great. And she won. So, there's that.
Kristen Bell was more classically beautiful in her dress. I actually thought it was a 'better from the back' dress. But actually it is pretty good from the front as well. It is by Pamella Roland and a bit more restrained — and therefore better — than her usual red carpet efforts. Good one.
And you know I LOVE A JUMPSUIT. Margot Robbie definitely took a risk and wore an Elie Saab jumpsuit with lace detail. And predictably I loved it. Great non-nominated look. Yes.
