Oooh, you all know how I love a bit of goth glam. Particularly when it is sexy and sophisticated at the same time. No one personified this more than Malin Akerman at Saturday night's 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards. She wore a stunning Naeem Khan gown and a smudgy make up look that defined the new goth glam handbook.

Also going goth for the event was the fantastic Claire Danes. Her complicated dress was from Vionnet and matched her personality perfectly. The messy, undone hair and make-up were great partners.

The majestic Dame Helen Mirren stunned me. Again. How does she do this? The optimum balance between the twinkle in her seductive eye, and age-appropriate. I need to learn this. The dress is Escada.

And while Lena Headey is not in black, she has the heart of a goth, and will never look princess pretty. Her dress is Jenny Packham and the tattoos are all hers. I think she looks brilliant is a hard dress to make work. Good girl. Respect.
