Yikes. How did they get the dress to her so quickly?? Literally hours after Lanvin showed their Pre Fall 2013 collection, Emma Stone popped out on a red carpet in one of the looks. And boy did she choose well. Doesn't she look delightful?

This stunning red cocktail dress with strapless sweetheart neckline and grosgrain belt also featured jewellery from the Lanvin collection from 2012. And as much as I adore the belt brooch — always have loved a belt brooch — I am desperately keen to see what the outfit would have looked like without the mahoosive neckpiece.

The shoes are just off colour — matching with the ribbon belt rather than the dress — and I like that jarring detail. I am sure there will be plenty of people who will hate the matchy-matchy of the shoes and dress. I am equally sure there will be those complaining that they don't exactly match. Ha! This is fashion and Emma knows how to play this game. Well played lady.

Oh and Ryan Gosling, her co-star, was there too. He wore Gucci in a strange but beautiful colour and was accompanied by his mother. Who borrowed clothes from his girlfriend, Eva Mendes', wardrobe for the occasion. I fear I know too much already.
