Two of the hottest young stars of awards season have both been seen dressed in Victoria Beckham collection in the past week. It's as if they need to borrow from her the power and style that comes with her designs as they build up toward the Oscars, for which they are both nominated. First up, and looking incredible after a bit of a shaky (although generally successful) start to the season is Jennifer Lawrence. She is wearing mainline VB in electric blue, showing off a slim but shapely figure. I like it when J-Law does elegant, but I do wish she would sort out those bangs asap. Other than that, full marks for this effort. Looking good.

The super-smug Anne Hathaway has actually worn VB twice this week, from the Victoria Beckham for Victoria Beckham line. The first is cute. Striped, full skirt and pockets. Why it is paired with navy tights I will never know. And as for the Stella McCartney vegan shoes, I am not convinced. Great dress but poor styling lets it down. Keeping it totally simple like the other VB frock she wore, is a much safer bet for Anne who doesn't know how to style herself. Left to her own devices, shit happens. Shit should never be allowed to happen. Surely she has been around long enough to know this? Sigh.
