I tweeted last night that the girls from ELLE Magazine have declared that blue is the new black. We were at the Issa London launch at Banana Republic, where there is a pair of blue trousers, a blue knit and a geometric patterned blouse that is just begging to be in my wardrobe. It is kind of the same vibes as Kate Hudson showed at the airport this week.

I love the electric blue colour — who doesn't? And let's face it, it stands out, without being too shouty. Also those shoes. Let's just take a moment. AMAZING.

Kate also wore an incredibly cool Viktor + Rolf blue suit the day before in Live with Kelly and Michael — a US TV chat show. So I think that she is throwing down the trend gauntlet. Blue is the new black and let's see who else climbs on board.
