Michelle Dockery Style Statement
I appear to be having a bit of a Lady Mary moment. Ever since she got herself a new stylist and started hanging out in America, Michelle Dockery has been wowing me with her style statements. She was on my best dressed list for both the Globes and the SAGs, and at a pre-SAG party this weekend she wore this stunning little cocktail number by British designer — and king of digital print — Peter Pilotto. I really, really like this. It is so modern in contrast to her soft, peaches-and-cream last century appearance.
Also at the same pre-SAG event, hosted by Entertainment Weekly, was the delightful creature that is Ashley Madekwe. We kind of claim her as African due to her Nigerian father. And her style is just such a pleasure. This Monique Lhullier dress is gorgeous. I would love it in my wardrobe.
TVD Nina Dobrev was also looking lovely. She was wearing Matthew Williamson. It's been a while since we have seen his designs on the red carpet so this was a fun outing. And it really suits her. I much prefer her in this kind of thing to her very (up)tight red carpet looks. But that may just be me.
