Hardly a day goes by on this blog when I don't comment on someone wearing a great little black and white number. Often I refer to it quite self consciously as 'on-trend'. I am hyper aware that it is a naf thing to say. But black and white is simply the biggest trend to happen in the past decade in fashion. And it shows no signs at all of abating. So on-trend it is. Wednesday night was the ELLE Women in Television celebration and the premier of Rosario Dawson's new movie, Gimme Shelter. She looked sensational. The best of the lot in that flattering cocktail dress. But Zooey Deschanel showed us how to do her kooky cool in black and white Dolce and Gabbana polka dots, and Emma Roberts did the same trend in youthful cut-outs from Cushnie et Ochs. This is an investment trend. Go for it!
