Michelle Obama in Naeem Khan for the Morning After
After all the incredible outfits for the church services, swearing-in ceremonies, diva song performances and parties that made up the two full days of the 2013 US Presidential Inauguration, you would have thought that Michelle Obama would be all out of good frocks. But no. Apparently not. She popped on a refreshing and beautiful white coat and dress combo designed by Naeem Khan — with her Jimmy Choo kitten heels — for just one more church service post the big party on Monday night.
Naeem Khan is one of Mrs O's favourite designers, I believe that she has worn his designs no less than eight times over the past four years. Putting him up there with American designers like Michael Kors, even though Naeem is an Indian citizen. According to his press office, the ensemble was made over a month ago, "for no specified function," as is protocol for all of the FLOTUS' designer looks. Isn't the beads work just amazing?
I was also interested to see that the Obamas also hosted a priviate inauguration party, at which Michelle wore a 70s-inspired flare trousers and gold tunic of unspecified origins. She also had her hair up for this occasion, showing off the new bangs. Go Shelley!
