For the 2013 Oscars Red Carpet there can be no other winner in the Best Dressed in Black category other than winner Adele. She was simply magnificent at the show. Just peerless right now. And she wore the best of British design for the occasion. First in Jenny Packham on the red carpet and then in Burberry for the performance. Not exactly dissimilar in style, if we are critical. But still magnificent because she is magnificent. She makes me weep.

Also looking great was Nicole Kidman in hot-off-the-runway L'Wren Scott of course. Dazzling. And Sandra Bullock in Elie Saab lace. So pretty. And, yes, Halle Berry in Versace. I know. I didn't expect that kind of a cover up at this year's Oscars. Did you? Who would have guessed.

And an honourable mention must go to Salma Hayek, who wore midnight velvet Alexander McQueen. Some felt it was a bit of a bejewelled neck brace. I was more impressed, but she doesn't win this round, just gets a mention. What do you guys think? Let me know.
