Last night in London the UK edition of ELLE Magazine hosted their annual style awards. Katy Perry won Woman of the Year — yay — and wore a refreshing Vivienne Westwood silk floral dress with incredible construction and detail. I loved it on Katy. Also winning was Emma Watson — Actress of the Year — who wore a very cool Giambattista Valli Couture cocktail dress. I love the asymmetry and the deceptive length. Her natural plainness is the perfect foil for the complexity of this dress. And Poppy Delevingne looked absolutely marvellous in this challenging colour in a crop top and skirt suit from Emilia Wickstead's latest collection. And actress Felicity Jones also bust out a look just off the runway with her pretty in pink Christopher Kane dress. Both Felicity and Poppy presented awards at the event.

And then there was Rita Ora. I am coming around to her cracked-out style. Mostly because it is so consistent. She is as committed to the mess she calls fashion as someone like Mistress Dita. And you have to admire that. It is true to her aesthetic utterly and completely. Even if we don't get it. This gigantic and entirely over-the-top dress is Marchesa of course. Jolly good.
