The easy answer to the question of who was best dressed on the 2014 NAACP Awards red carpet is: the ladies from Scandal / The Fixer. No doubt. They were all punching above their weight in the style stakes and looked magnificent last night.

The best of them all was Darby Stanchfield — the one for me who has had the most exciting style all along. She was in this magnificent green Carolina Herrera gown which was about as perfect for her colouring and figure as a dress could possibly be.

And of course Kerry Washington looked utterly divine in her Thakoon maternity draping with that delightful peach sleeve detail. Just look how beautiful she is.

And then if I was to choose another actress to round out my top three, I would have to pick The Good Wife cast member, Archie Panjabi. So obviously different from her character's style, and just so exquisitely beautiful. This soft turquoise dress is by Ports 1961. Lovely.
